TinyTask FAQs
1. Is TinyTask safe to download and use?
Yes. Tiny Task is completely safe when downloaded from the official source. Some antivirus tools may flag it because it automates mouse and keyboard actions, but it contains no malware, ads, or background activity.
2. Does Tiny Task record everything I do on my screen?
No. TinyTask only records your mouse movements and keyboard inputs; it doesn't capture screen visuals, video, or any personal data.
3. Can I convert my TinyTask recordings into an EXE file?
Yes. After recording, go to File → Compile to EXE. This creates a standalone .exe version of your macro that can run on any Windows PC, even if Tiny Task isn't installed. It's perfect for sharing or automating tasks across multiple computers.
4. How can I change TinyTask's shortcut keys?
You can customize hotkeys in Prefs → Hotkeys. From there, set your own shortcuts for Record, Stop, and Play. You can also adjust playback speed and loop count in the same menu to control how fast or how often your automation repeats.
5. Can I run Tiny Task from a USB drive?
Yes. TinyTask is fully portable. Just copy TinyTask.exe (and any .rec files) to a USB drive, then plug it into another Windows PC. It runs directly, no installation or admin access needed.
